Jenson Full-Field Drill Design Paper

Item number 2630325DN, $9.95

One of the most useful tools a marching band director can have at his disposal is a pad of drill design paper. We are proud to carry the classic Jenson brand paper. The marching band field's (known as a football field in some circles) yard lines, grid marks, and hash marks are already printed for your ease of use. Even if you use a computer program for your show design, you'll appreciate the sheer convenience of this old-fashioned pad. We even guarantee that computer viruses will not make this pad of paper stop working!

This seventy-five-page pad measures 17" wide by 11" tall, and shows the field's full width and length, from the 0 yard line to the 0 yard line.

Mitchell Lurie Clarinet Reeds - Strength 3 1/2
Mitchell Lurie Clarinet Reeds - Strength 3 1/2
Item number 2060015DN, $20.95

The Mitchell Lurie brand of clarinet reeds is one of the best brands available. This model of reed is their entry level reed - fairly inexpensive, but still a great performer. As with all of our reeds, all boxed reeds are at least 10% off list price, and can not be returned.

Reeds are typically available in strengths of 1 through 5 (some brands label their reeds as Soft, Medium Soft, ... through Hard). In general, the lower the number, the easier it is to play most notes. The down side, is that the lower number reeds just don't sound as nice, and make it harder to hit high notes.

As a general rule, we recommend reeds with a strength of 2 (Soft) for people just getting started, and strength 2 1/2 (Medium Soft) for people who have played for a year (less time if they take lessons). The harder reeds should only be used after using the next softer size of reed for six months to a year, or at the recommendation of a private instructor or band director.
